I had a tooth extracted on August 15, 2024, and was very apprehensive. Dr. McElveen was very professional and skilled along with his assistant. They explained the process very thoroughly and step by step, which put me at ease. His other staff members were also very professional, and the work environment was exceptionally clean, which is also important to me. This was my first time seeing Dr. McElveen and would certainly recommend him to my friends.

Overall great experience…….a little pricey but they were the first available option for my child. The team was great and definitely made my son comfortable. My only suggestion is to give a quote before hand I was able to get my other sons wisdom teeth out a few months ago at half the price at a different place they were just crazy booked. All in all great staff just very pricey.

Love this place. They've made a difficult situation with my tooth a smooth and worry free experience.

Dr McElveen & his assistant, Ian, treated me as if I'd been a regular client. Both of them put me at ease for what could have been a traumatic experience. I was put under for a tooth extraction. Before and after the procedure we talked about a myriad of topics; I felt that I could ask anything. They in turn responded with concern, care and respect. I would highly recommend this team!

Took my husband in to have his wisdom teeth removed , everyone was very polite & took their time to speak with my husband and I. I love the fact that they make you feel like family . My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend Charles County Surgical Arts to ANYONE that needs an oral surgeon !!

I was nervous but everyone made sure to keep me inform every step of the way and checked to make sure I was ok. The doctor was very kind and took time to explain what was going to happen. He made sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable about how things were going to move forward. The day of the procedure, the staff was very helpful and checked on me to make sure I was comfortable. I am totally afraid of dentists, but this experience was awesome and I would DEFINITELY go back here.

Got all 4 wisdom teeth removed today and I couldn't have gone to a better place. Never been under anesthesia before nor have I had any major procedures done so I was VERY nervous about today. Within minutes of meeting the team and speaking with them, I felt entirely at ease. Could not have asked for a better experience. Thank ya'll so much!

I had some major dental surgery and my experience was very good. I am an extremely nervous patient but they made me feel safe and secure. I feel that they do listen to you and try to make it a good experience even considering that what you may be having can be traumatic.

I had to have an implant put in. I am VERY dental phobic due to some horrific experiences in the military. This office was very attentive to my fears and anxieties.they were very professional and accomidating. I highly recommend them.

I am so grateful and impressed with the superb work of Dr. John McElveen and his entire team. His kind staff helped me get help quick for an ancient root canal from Navy days that was in trouble. Ian explained all options thoroughly and I felt so at ease as tooth removal to implant install was done in just a couple hours and painlessly! Dr McElveen talked me through each step, and they have the very best technology. I am lucky to have met up with Charles County Surgical Arts via my St Mary’s dentist Dr Gina McCray.
