My experience at Charles Surgical Arts was life changing. They treated me with such care and compassion and made me feel like I was their only patient. The life changing part was experiencing these young, more than capable black brothers and sister giving back to their community with excellence.I highly recommend them!

Came in for the removal of my wisdom teeth. They make you feel comfortable throughout the process. Feels homely…very hard to get staff and doctors to make you feel that way. Definitely recommend visiting them for your dental needs. I will be returning 😊

Best oral surgeon ever! The office staff was amazing, the Doctor was patient and friendly, more importantly he is extremely knowledgable regarding my needs. Highly recommend to anyone in need of oral or facial surgery. Doctor was willing to return my phone call after hours and even came in on the weekend to manage my emergency.

I was in pain and they stayed late to make sure they treated me. Very attentive staff, great, knowledgeable doctor. Staff made sure I made it home ok and the doctor even called to check up on me.

McElveen is a lifesaver/heaven sent. I had three missing molars, after having a bridge taken out. One dentist did a bone graft in hopes of installing implants. Six months into the pandemic, I was told there was too much bone loss for implants. I got a partial denture instead. Hating the partial denture, I went to another dentist. The dentist also felt I had too much bone loss. The 3rd doctor said they could do one of the implants, but I needed an oral surgeon to install a shorter implant to ensure sufficient support. I was provided a referral to Dr. McElveen. He conducted an evaluation, took several ct scans and told me I had a difficultly case, but he could install the implants. He went into depth showing me on the scan where each implant would be placed, depth of the bone available and the size of the implant needed. Most importantly, he told me that if he did the implant and I had any problem with the nerve, he would remove the implant and issue a refund. I had surgery about a week ago and just had my follow up today. Everything is just fine and recovery is going better than expected. If you have any hesitation about visiting Dr. McElveen, don’t. He’s exceptional, has years of experience and I felt so comfortable and confident in his abilities that I paid for the surgery without the use of dental insurance. I won’t get implants anywhere else. I thank God for sending him!

Amazing experience! No other oral surgeon wanted to pull my husband's tooth. Once the x-ray was seen here, the surgeon extracted the tooth that same day. Not only that, he removed the stitches under my husband's chin (long story), unpacked the wound, inspected it, said it was healing nicely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The ambiance was reminiscent of a resort in the islands. The staff is "second to none". I was there as a first time (emergency) patient. I was treated like a relative that they haven't seen in awhile. Lol in a good way. 😄 Time and space will not allow me to write everything but here are some of the highlights: Highly Professional, Very Knowledgeable, Genuinely Concerned, Ultimate Customer Service, Met & Exceeded My Expectations. Dr. McElveen was handpicked by God for this profession. He went over everything, he was shock to learn how I ended up in his office. Dr. JM, was absolutely Awesome. I've always had reservations about dentist, however meeting Dr. McElveen removed all my fears, doubts and nerves. It's hard to believe I'm an adult in age but I'm a child when it comes to any medical procedures. 😁 Dr. Ian, assisted Dr. McElveen and you can instantly tell, they were bonded together for this business. Dr. Ian, was great. He showed and told me all that they were going to do. He literally reiterated everything that Dr. JM said. He offered me other ways to look into getting what I needed. Without his help and my initial consultation; this visit would not have been possible. Well, little did I know, I had major surgery on Monday and I returned to work on Tuesday. A few days ago I woke up in excruciating dental pain and needed to see an Oral Surgeon immediately!!! (Good luck with that)!!! To my surprise ,I was able to be seen as a walk in at Charles County. Surgical Arts The staff was extremely accommodating and empathetic to my immediate dental needs. My experience exceeded my expectations from reception all the way through the end of my follow up appointment. This man has “blessed hands” and it’s obvious he and staff are doing exactly what they loved. Thank you all so much.

Great professional black dentist. Customer service was fantastic they greet you at the door with positive energy. They are a very knowledgeable and easy going staff. They even cut Netflix on in the lobby for my daughter to keep her calm as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend surgical arts is the way to go.

Reception staff is awesome and very welcoming. The dental team does an awesome job at easy any anxiety and makes you feel extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend this office to my family and friends as they made me feel right at home. Thank you CCSA

From making my appointment with Kevin to being greet at the front desk, Ian (dental assistant) making sure I was comfortable and to Dr McElveen who made sure I understood everything that needed to be done. I had a bad tooth and needed extraction and I did not have all of the money for the extraction. I thought I was going to have to reschedule for another day and was disappointed because I really needed this tooth removed. They said no worries give us what you have and we are pulling that tooth today. Thank you Jesus! Not a lot of pain or bleeding. Charles County Surgical Arts Team is best surgical team by far in my opinion. I highly recommend them they treated me with the utmost respect!

The office was amazing! I was in pain and not an established patient and Dr. MCEllveen accommodated me and treated me the same day. They were professional, kind and explained everything in detail.

I was referred by my dentist to have a tooth extracted. From Day 1 everyone has been extremely responsive and professional- the initial phone call, contacting my insurance company and our initial face to face meeting. I loved that I was offered to have the extraction on the same day as the consult. Dr. McElveen explained everything that would happen and delivered in the most pain free way possible. Of course there was the pinch of numbing but I didn’t realize he had extracted the tooth based on his expertise and speed. His staff were meticulous in going over post operative instructions and called to make sure everything was okay a few days later. I highly recommend Charles County Surgical Arts for your dental care. I look forward to working with Dr. McElveen on correcting flaws from previous reconstruction of my jaw. He showed concern in giving me different options than what I was offered by the military so many years ago. He speaks with confidence in his skills which puts me at ease. I look forward to seeing how he can transform my look. The atmosphere is welcoming and everyone is so nice.

One word, amazing! I came in for a consultation to have all four wisdom teeth removed and had same day treatment. The entire team was nice and respectful. The procedure and recovery process was communicated in detail. I highly recommend this office for any oral surgical needs.

In office experience was good other than the long waiting periods wasn’t happy that all the important instructions given to me for my aftercare were mostly verbal and given to me before the procedure was done and when asked if all the information told to me would be in writing so I dont forget I was told yes but when leaving looking at the paper instructions given to me we’re generic Instruction’s that we’re not specific to my case so when I got home I was confused about how and when to take my medications because the bottles didn’t match the Instructions given to me other than the minor things the main parts that counted the most were flawless so I want to give 5 stars but me leaving with some confusion is the only reason I can’t give 5 stars plus it was just done so we shall see if I get dry socket or Infection I’ve never taken antibiotics they way they have instructed me too so we shall see
