Like most people, i was extremely afraid/ anxious over having dental Work done, let alone oral surgery. When i called To get an appointment they were able to get me in about a week later, again i was soooo anxious i almost canceled, but the broken tooth, with exposed nerves and tooth root let me with so much pain i sucked it Up!! As soon as i arrived for my 10 am appointment i was taken back within 1 minute, just long enough to get my gran and husband who came with me comfortable in the waiting area, the waiting area was spacious yet private. Water and a coffee bar were available for family members waiting for their loved ones to have their dental work/ procedure done. I woke up from the anesthesia at 11:44 am and was moved to a private room to recover with the help and support of my husband. The dr. Was amazing and respected my wishes to not use narcotics due to being on a MAT program. I would definitely go back.

Very nice and respectful staff. Dr. M bedside manner was excellent! I was a nervous wreck but he kept assuring me that I would be fine.

It was a great experience, especially when you're getting a wisdom tooth removed. The prep, consult, X-ray , etc... took far longer than the actual removal. I highly recommend

Anyone needing a tooth implant should definately go see Dr. McElveen @ Charles County Surgical Arts. They are wonderful. From Doc to his entire staff. They have a very organized, tightly run operation. Doc and staff are very kind and compassionate. Having an implant is not something you want to do, but they made it as pleasant as it could be. Yes Doc, I was very lucky! Thank you guys!!

Professional and pleasant staff

I can not say enough good things about this office. The entire staff is wonderful. I was scheduled a few days out but when I began having bad pain from a failed root canal with another office they got me in the same day. The office is very clean and modern. Dr. John McElveen is genuinely caring and compassionate. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I had a tooth removal without sedation ( that's optional) I had no pain or discomfort during the procedure. Everything was explained and he asked several times to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain at all. I highly recommend charles county surgical arts!

Dr. John McElveen and his staff are top notch professionals from the top down. I’ve had dental surgery with them which has required several postoperative visits and as a medical professional myself; I find no reason to go elsewhere.

Highly recommend! Dr. McElveen removed two of my wisdom teeth. I have severe dental anxiety, but the doctor and his team made me feel incredibly comfortable. Trinity at the front desk was very helpful, and Ayana assisted the doctor during the procedure. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made the experience so much better. My procedure and recovery were completely pain-free!

The employees were very courteous and well informed on the procedures as well the amount of costs. Also, the dentist is very knowledgeable with surgical procedures. What’s more, the building is the coolest and smartest dentist place!

Everyone was very Professional; no pain at all during my oral surgery!

I was impressed & thus relaxed by the doctor’s step by step explanations & his patience throughout my entire procedure. Office manager explained what insurance would cover & all medical staff rated a ‘10’ on my scale with regards to competency! I have recommended this oral surgeon to several ppl in my church as his honesty & talents are what I look at in my health decision making.

Have you ever gone to oral surgeon nervous? I did! I had a bad experience. When I say Dr. John McElveen came in and made me relax with a kind word and a great hand shake. He numbed me so well and so little pain. My tooth didn't want to come out. He did this job and I got up thinking " Wow, it's over?" I wish I was referred to him before. Now I know. The music is nice the front desk was so friendly. His assistant was personable. His team is wonderful. I will make others know about your location. Thank you and Gof bless.

This was a remarkable experience. The staff were cheerful, kind and the surgeon made you feel at ease, took his time and was so knowledgeable. We highly recommend.

Dr. McElveen and his team was amazing. I've never had surgery before and needed an extraction. They talked me through the whole process and he would not allow me to feel any pain during the surgery since I had to be awake. Kept saying, "Let me know if you feel any pain" constantly making sure I was comfortable. I'm from out of town and this was an emergency situation from an abscess. They helped when no one else would.
