Dr. John McElveen, DDS, MD, PharmD, is an oral maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeon and teacher based in Maryland. He currently serves as an instructor at both Johns Hopkins University and Howard University, where he shares his expertise and passion for surgical excellence with the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Educational Background
Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. McElveen earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana before going on to Howard University to study dentistry. He then earned a medical doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 2014 before starting a four-year residency as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill Emergency Room in Kansas City.
